PRESIDENT' MESSAGE

Dear Members of the Korean Association of Clinical Ultrasound,

I am Jae Young Jang, Professor of Gastroenterology at Soonchunhyang University College of Medicine, and it is a great honor to serve as the 8th President of the Korean Association of Clinical Ultrasound.

Ultrasound is no longer merely an imaging modality; it has become an essential discipline that can be described as the standard diagnostic language of Korean healthcare. In this era of transformation, it is both a profound honor and a significant responsibility to help shape the future of the largest ultrasound society in Korea.

Since its founding, our Association has demonstrated a unique strength in the harmonious integration of academic clinical expertise and the practical experience of private practitioners. During my term, I will work to further strengthen this balanced structure and to foster an Association in which academia and private practice learn from one another and grow together.

Our Association has already played a leading role in education and academic activities across multiple clinical fields. During this term, we will further reinforce the foundation for future-oriented education and research, thereby establishing an important cornerstone to enhance the Association’s professionalism and credibility.

The Association does not belong to any single group; it is a community built by all its members. I am committed to developing an Association in which every member is a true stakeholder. Through the active participation and diverse perspectives of each member, we will shape the future of our Association together.

Over the next two years, the executive board and I will devote our utmost efforts to advancing ultrasound medicine in Korea and to cultivating an Association culture that meets the needs of both academia and private practice. I sincerely ask for your continued interest, support, and active participation.

Thank you very much.
